[MID-CAREER] — Full-time university-based positions are getting harder to find in the U.S., so this position at Virginia International University is a good find! The ad on HigherEdJobs.com does not list the salary, but it does say it’s full time, teaching Tuesdays through Saturdays.
The role appears to be a fairly typical English for Academic Purposes position, helping students prepare for success in university. The schedule is due to a “museum class” on Saturdays, so perhaps there’s an interesting ESP component, as well!
Requirements include an M.A. in TESOL or the like, at least one year of ESL teaching experience, related skills, and “near-native English proficiency” — the latter comment showing that they’re supportive of NNEST applicants.
Good luck to all who apply!
